- New People: On the people tab NanCI now shows recent joiners, so you can seek out new researchers to follow and build your personal network.
- Similar People: When you follow someone NanCI looks to see if there are others with similar interests. If there are, you will see a scrolling list of such people, giving you the opportunity to follow them and further build your personal network.

- Chat with Research Papers and Research Paper Folders - ask questions of the content of a paper (or a group of papers in a folder) where the paper(s) are open access.
- When viewing a research paper pdf, highlight text and have NanCI explain it for you using various education levels.
- Got a notification of a recommended paper? Now you can press the notification and have the app launched direct to that paper.
- Personal QR code - have another user scan your code to view your profile in the app.

This is a bug-squishing release – gotta squish those bugs...
- New users signing up have the option to register to be notified when the app is available for their organization (if it's not already)
- Fixed a crashing bug on the profile screen
- Streamlined ORCID login so it all happens within the app
- Added an option for users to request account deletion in order to comply with privacy needs (available via profile edit screen)
- Fixed errant special chapters showing in various places
- Profile images no longer get squished when uploaded - if your profile picture looks squished, please re-upload to resolve this
- Remove ORCID showing as a source for research papers
- The notification that you've changed search options no longer covers the search field
- Fix for events screen overflowing menu bar at the bottom of the screen
